The historical Hypatia taught at the Alexandria Library and Museoin in the 4th Century A.D., leading at a time when the roles of women in leadership, religious tolerance, cultural diversity, free speech, intellectual exchange, and scientific exploration, were about to challenged by sociopolitical shifts.
“Hypatia” was selected by an independent panel of judges to be presented as part of a New Works Festival at the Firehouse Center for the Arts,

DR. FRANKLIN’s SPIRAL STAIRCASE

The historical Dr. Rosalind Franklin’s X-ray diffraction images of DNA, were integral to the discovery of the shape of DNA as a double helix. Watson and Crick built upon her work, going on to receive the Nobel Prize for this discovery.
This play was juried into the “Glass Ceiling Festival” at The Actor’s Studio of Newburyport.
